ES Our History
La Providencia Academy is a Christian bilingual school that began operations in 2008 with 12 students in Pre-Kindergarten and 15 students in 1st Grade. The primary purpose of establishing the school was to make a significant social impact in the Aguas del Padre community, providing access to quality education for children who could not otherwise afford it and for our children and adolescents in conditions of orphanhood or social risk. At that time, the school was managed by the NGO. Providence World Ministries until 2019, with an enrollment of 192 students. That same year, the school began an important transition toward a sustainable model now managed by the NGO. Horizon EmpowersIt is important to note that during these changes, the school continued to provide quality education to children with fewer resources. The difference was that, in that year, the school opened its doors to children from the city center, welcoming families who had the financial means to pay tuition for their education.
